Hillary Sachs
From a young age, Hillary grew up cooking alongside her grandmother and mother, creating dishes that were not healthy and delicious.  Two things stood out:  First, an undeniable link between what we eat and our overall feeling of health and wellness.  Second. delicious foods and nutrition foods a re not mutually exclusive.  Hillary's cooking hobby evolved into a passion for nutrition as she pursued formal studies on the biochemistry and medicinal value of foods at Cornell University.  Based on this knowledge and training, Hillary devoted her career to helping others live life to their fullest potential through their food choices.

Hillary completed her undergraduate education at Cornell University in Education and Nutritional Sciences. She went on to complete a master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition at New York University, a dietetic internship at the James J. Peters Bronx VA Medical Center, and board certification in oncology nutrition through the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Her past roles have included Nutrition Manager at Northwell Health's Cancer Institute, Professor of Nutrition at Hofstra University, and owner and founder of Hillary Sachs Nutrition, LLC. Hillary is a regular speaker at nutrition conferences and health seminars.

Hillary has counseled and educated hundreds of people at various stages of their cancer journeys on the impact their nutrition has on their treatment and overall well-being. Denice Hynd
Born and raised in San Diego, California, Denice grew up surrounded by agriculture, ocean fishing and trips across the US border. As the first in her family to be born in the US, Denice was born into a food-universe vastly different than that of her peers. Aunts, uncles and grandparents would always encourage her to eat her "sopa de lentejas" (lentil soup) because it was rich in "hiero" (iron), and to finish her albacore tacos because they were rich in "proteina" (protein). Needless to say, this sparked further interest in the make-up of her food, so she became a dietitian!

Denice earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Foods and Nutrition from San Diego State University, followed by a Graduate Certificate in Dietetics from Iowa State University. Her academics then led her to South Dakota State University where she earned a Masters in Public Health and her second graduate certificate in Transdisciplinary Obesity Prevention.

In the 21 years that Denice has been practicing nutrition, she has spent thirteen of those years at the University of California San Diego where she worked on several grants from nutrition-focused clinical studies looking into the relationship between lycopene and prostate cancer, the intake of cruciferous vegetables and the remission of breast cancer, as well as the meal support side of outpatient and inpatient eating disorders. Her career has allowed her to practice clinical dietetics in intensive cardiac rehab, rural-critical access, as well as a corrections and memory care dietitian. Denice teaches at her local community college and enjoys being an active member in her community.

As a mom of two boys, she volunteers, and substitute teaches at her children's school teaching physical education and nutrition. Her most favorite way to spend her time is reading, paddleboarding and snow shoeing with her husband and taking her two rescue pups on hikes and adventures!

Denice strives to make nutrition accessible, inclusive, and diverse; ultimately improving the health outcomes of the community.
